QuickHowTo Uploader

QuickHowTo Uploader is a small personal tool used by a single creator to publish short, illustrated how-to tutorials (YouTube Shorts) to their own YouTube channel.

Uses YouTube API Services

The tool runs only on the creator's own computer. It uses the YouTube Data API (videos.insert) to upload videos that the creator has produced, and the YouTube Analytics API to read the creator's own video statistics. It does not read, store or analyse data about other YouTube users or channels.

How it works

  1. The creator writes or generates a short tutorial script and renders it into a vertical video on their computer.
  2. The creator signs in once with their own Google account (OAuth 2.0) and grants the youtube.upload, youtube.readonly and yt-analytics.readonly permissions.
  3. The tool uploads the finished video to the creator's channel.
  4. The tool reads the statistics of the creator's own videos (views, watch time, subscribers gained) so the creator can see which tutorials work best and improve future ones.

The tool is not offered to the public and has no other users.
